About the Photographer 
A
construction executive in a career spanning more than four decades,
I have always had a strong desire for artistic expression going back
as far as I can remember. During my younger years I enjoyed dabbling
in oil and acrylic painting or sketching, but it wasn’t until
I discovered photography in my teen years that my passion really took
off. There was something about capturing a photographic image that
was extremely satisfying, a feeling that remains with me right up
to the present day. Photography is the creative outlet that adds balance
to my life between the extremely fast paced construction industry
profession and a world that is sometimes very chaotic. It allows me
to present to others my inner viewpoint of what surrounds us.
I reside in the northeastern part of our country and have developed a great appreciation for the beauty and splendor of the American Landscape. In recent years, I had the good fortune to travel throughout North America and Europe to photograph some of our exciting natural and manmade resources and returned home with many satisfying photographic memories of each trip. Several of my photographs received awards in local, national and international photo contests, and my work has been published in commercial and ecclesiastical publications, including a major national photography magazine. Having been a member of the Sierra Club, National Audubon Society, the National Parks Conservation Association and The Yosemite Fund demonstrates my commitment to preserving our precious resources for present and future generations to appreciate and enjoy.
Over the years I have felt that traditional darkroom prints of my images never lived up to my vision of what the finished photograph should look like. Fortunately, all of that changed with the advent of digital printing and its exciting new technology that has set an incredible new standard in image quality. Also, with the recent introduction of digital SLR cameras, the bar on image quality has been raised even further.
